Introduction to New York

I walked out on deck at 4.30 am to see QM2 arrive in NY. First sight 3 NYPD guys with AK49 s on deck.

I thought it unwise to take a photo.

Scene then improved as we came passed Statue of Liberty, and docked at Brooklyn.

Thanks to Noel Coward.

Leading lady -English woman in her 80's - frequent traveller, British and lives in Florida.

Spoke at length to all, authoritively on how the colonies were better off under the British than now, with corruption, infanticide, etc, etc, etc.

Me - had great trouble keeping straight face. When asked where I came from I said "Australia but I am very pleased we are no longer a colony."

Leading lady had lived in Pakistan with her husband in 1954.

Mousehole Harbour

We had tickets for Anything Goes but the weather was stormy, wet and windy and the show was cancelled. Actors may well have been blown out to sea.
