Confessions of a Failed G20 Protester

I was in Trafalgar Square on Wednesday morning and then Bank of England on Thursday morning - not periods of most action. Midday Thursday at Bank of England bags were being search (not mine, invisible) all were co operative, people mostly young males both demonstraters and police. All quite pleasant while I was there. No one wearing a suit was harassed in any way that I saw. Some media beat up - I have seen same images on TV on every news bulletin. I know there was some violence and RBS's windows were smashed.

I saw some demonstrators searched and frisked - all attracted up to a dozen people with long lens cameras.

At 1 pm I had to leave for grandma duties.

I should have been at Climate Exchange but I could not find the building.

End of a day of protesting

Bank of England Thursday morning - more police than people. All very pleasant and co-operative.

Trafalgar Square Wednesday morning - nearly deserted except for police, and many screaming police cars.

I hope you have a grand time in Cornwall.
